2015 Events

We update the dates and location for every Oktoberfest in Kansas when they are announced throughout the year. If you have updated information about an event, or we are missing one, please let us know!

Oktobertfest Arts & Crafts Festival – Atchison, KS – October 3, 2015.
The Junior Guild’s 33rd annual Oktoberfest with German food and music as well as more than 100 arts & crafts vendors. Event takes place all day Saturday. Several thousand attend the annual event along the outdoor mall.
Location: Commercial Street Mall, Atchison KS

Oktoberfest Stafford – Stafford, KS – October 3, 2015
There will be a parade, horseshoe tournament, scavenger hunt and an antique tractor show. Pumpkin decorating contest and cow patty bingo as well. They hold the largest wiener dog races in Kansas. There will be a food court, beer garden, stage entertainment and kid’s activities. Tanganyika Wildlife also puts on a show with exotic animals on the stage.

St John’s Oktoberfest – Lawrence, KS – September 26, 2015
Live German band as well as kids games. 26 Kegs of Beer from 4 different Paulaner beers, Free State Oktoberfest, and Angry Orchard Crisp Hard Cider. Looks like beer starts at 3 PM and food starts at 4 PM.

Shawnee Oktoberfest – Shawnee, KS – October 2, 2015
The 13th annual Oktoberfest runs from 5:30-10 PM on Friday.  It will include entertainment by the Willie Kirst Band, the Dixie Cadillacs and Blautaler Schuhplatter dancers of Kansas City. Family friendly with games for kids, Kinderhall and moonwalk. Cost: Admission is free.

Fairlawn Oktoberfest – Topeka, KS – October 3, 2015
Fairlawn Plaza holds an annual Oktoberfest event from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm under their huge 8000 square foot tent in the parking lot.  Event is host by the German-American Club of Topeka.

Oktoberfest Wichita – Wichita, KS – October 3, 2015
It is a community event sponsored by The Church of the Blessed Sacrament Men’s Club. It is an outdoor event taking place on Quentin Street. Enjoy beer, bratwurst and music while in the beer garden. Children can enjoy the inflatables, rides and games. Musical lineup features multiple bands. Rosstoberfest 5K kicks off the event and there is also a one mile fun run. Bid in the silent auction or live auction to win fun prizes. $11 wrist band for all you can ride amusement rides. $5 cover charge after 7 PM. Complete dinner plate is $7.50, with ala carte brats available in the beer garden for $2.50.

Fort Hays State University Homecoming/Oktoberfest – Hays, KS – October 10-12, 2014
The 42nd annual Hays Oktoberfest from the Volga German Society. It will have german food, keg tapping and family friendly component. Held on Fort Hays State University Homecoming weekend. The theme for 2014 is Once Upon a Time in Tigerland. Oktoberfest is on Friday with the heritage celebration continuing on Saturday and Sunday (based on past history). Honor our Heritage events take place in a Beer Free Zone.

Horton KS October Fest – Horton, KS – October 18, 2014
There will be a car, truck and bike show on 8th and Central, Craft Show in the Blue Building at 7th and 1st Ave West. Kountry Kids Kettle Korn, a 5K walk run sponsored by the Horton High School Theatre Department, Book sale at the Horton Library, Pumpkin Decorating sponsored by Rainbow Communications.

Emporia Oktoberfest – Emporia, KS – October 11, 2013
German food, beer and fun from 6-10 PM. Last year there were homebrewing, costume, and homemade pickles contests. Tickets last year were $3 in advance and $5 at the door.

Other

Little Apple Brewing Company in Manhattan used to put on an event but the last time I have seen information about it was in 2013.
