Litchfield Park Oktoberfest – Litchfield Park, AZ – September 20, 2014
The Wigwam Resort hosts an annual Arizona Oktoberfest on its front lawn with a costume contest, dance demonstrations, live music by Denny and the Polka Dots, and more. Gates open at 5:30 PM. Admission: $10 for 12 and over. Food and drink are extra.

Marine Corps League Auxiliary for Oktoberfest – Lake Havasu City, AZ – October 4, 2014
Campbell Ranch hosts this fundraiser with German food, polka contest and more.

Ales on the Rails – Clarkdale, AZ – October 2014
Verde Canyon Railroad celebrates Oktoberfest with a four hour round trip to Perkinsville Ranch while guests enjoy beer from local breweries. German food and polka dancing on this trip as well. Thursdays through Sundays in October.
Fountain Hills Oktoberfest – Fountain Hills, AZ – September 26-27, 2014
This Oktoberfest at Fountain Park is hosted by the Southwest German Society, AMVETS Post 7, Fountain Hills Elks Lodge #2846 and the Town of Fountain Hills. German music, food and beer.
Flagstaff Oktoberfest – Flagstaff, AZ – October 4, 2014
Flagstaff will see its 6th annual Arizona Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4th at Wheeler Park from 11 AM to 8 PM. The event supports the Flagstaff Sunrise Lions Club. Live polka music, German beer, and free root beer floats for kids in the root beer garden. Contests for yodeling, costume, brat eating and beer hoisting.

Phoenix Oktoberfest – Phoenix, AZ – October 4, 2014
The Old World Phoenix Oktoberfest is hosted by the Arizona Center for Germanic Cultures. It has a number of contests celebrating German traditions, including a Alphorn blowing contest, polka contest and beer stein holding competition. Free kids Kinder village area and German cooking demonstrations. Festivities start at noon. Keg is tapped at 1 PM. Admission is $5 but kids under 12 get in free.

Oktoberfest at the Cellar Door – Kingman, AZ – September 27, 2014
The Cellar Door’s fourth annual Oktoberfest street party from 5 pm to midnight with German beer, food, polka, contests and games. 21+ inside the biergarten.
Located at The Cellar Door Wine Bar, 414 E. Beale Street, Kingman, AZ.
St. Rose Oktoberfest – Anthem, AZ – October 17-18, 2014
The Saint Rose Phillipine Duchesne Catholic Church organizes this event. Bratwurst and soft pretzels. Friday night fireworks show. Huge children’s play area with bouncy houses and a rock wall. Saturday brings the car and motorcycle show as well as the singing competition.

Oktoberfest @ Tempe Town Lake – Tempe, AZ – October 10-12, 2014
Tempe Sister City holds the 41st annual Tempe Oktoberfest as a fundraiser for its student and teacher exchange program. At the three day Oktoberfest, you will find a carnival, dachshund runs (Sunday) and a 5 Mile / 5K / 1 mile race (Saturday) in addition to German food, beer & wine gardens and live music. 15 german beers and three stages of live music! Kinderfest with craft zone and carnival amusements for kids. Six hours of polka music on Sunday. Eight 4 oz. smaples of German beer will also be served from noon – 6 for just $20. Admission is free. All day pass for kids amusements is $30. Tempe Beach Splash Park will also reopen for the weekend. Cash is needed to purchase tickets for food and beverages. Family pricing during the day on Saturday and Sunday is 25 food/activity tickets for $20.
Muller Kuhrs Oktoberfest – Scottsdale, AZ – October 11, 2014
Festival visitors will find a polka band, homebrew competition, and cornhole tournament. Volleyball tournament and WODtoberfest fitness competition on Saturday. 50+ Beverages available starting at $4. Kids 12 and under are free.

SanTan Oktoberfest – Chandler, AZ – October 4, 2014
2014 will be the seventh annual Oktoberfest for San Tan Brewing and Downtown Chandler. 3 PM to 11 PM. The event typically includes stein races, keg rolling, tricycle races, keg contest, bratwurst eating contests and a beer pong tournament. Iration and Reel Big Fish will lead the entertainment lineup. $12 admission (kids 12 and under are free). Presale tickets go on sale for $10 on September 1. Attendance is approximately 10,000 according to their sponsorship packet.

Red Rocks Oktoberfest – Sedona, AZ – October 25, 2014
This Sedona Oktoberfest happens 5-9 PM on Saturday night. Local Arizona craft brewers will bring Oktoberfest beers. German style bratwurst, potato salad, and big pretzels! Music by Big Willie and the Polka Meisters. Entry is $25 and a portion of the proceeds benefits the Rotary Club of Sedona Rocks and the STEM program at Sedona Oak Creek School District.

Marana Oktoberfest – Marana, AZ – Sept 26-28, 2014
Beer tasting tent, Bavarian music, games and arts & crafts. German food offered includes brats, Bavarian pretzels and sausages. Water slides and the kiddie pool will be open at the park. Cost is $5 on Friday, Sunday and for kids on Saturday. Adults on Saturday are $7. Located northwest of Tucson.

Sierra Vista Oktoberfest – Sierra Vista, AZ – September 12-13, 2014
The Sierra Vista Oktoberfest returned to Veterans’ Memorial Park in 2012 after a two year hiatus. Beer garden, german cuisine via food vendors, live entertainment from the Hamptons, kid’s carnival and arts & craft vendors.

Heber/Overgaard Oktoberfest – Heber-Overgaard, AZ – September 13-14, 2014
2014 will be the 27th annual Oktoberfest in the Pines held at Tall Timbers County Park. Sixth year for the classic car show. Beer garden, hay rides, kids inflatables and anvil shoots (probably not for kids). There will also be over 60 arts and crafts vendors.

Haus Murphy’s Oktoberfest – Glendale, AZ – October 10-11 & 17-18, 2014
German restaurant Haus Murphy’s in Glendale hosts an Oktoberfest celebration for two weekends in October. $40 for two 16 oz German draft beers, a food ticket for one German meal (choice of braised pork shank, German sausage, grillfleish or half chicken) and one German dessert (apple strudel or chocolate sauerkraut cake). Die Guggenbach Buam flies in from Germany for entertainment. Bierstein holding and alpenhorn blowing contest.

German Fest at Westside Lilo’s Cafe – Seligman, AZ – Sept 20, 2014
They’ll be serving brats, leberkase and pretzels, as well as Oktoberfest Bier from Hofbrau Munchen, for their 3rd annual event in 2014! They are along Scenic Route 66 (I-40) so make a day of it.

Baja Oktoberfest – Tucson, AZ – October 18, 2014
This Tucson Oktoberfest will have beer from more than 50 Arizona Craft Brewers Guild Breweries. Local food trucks, brat eating contest, and more. Proceeds benefit Tu Nidito.
Location: Veterans Memorial Stadium.

3500 visitors are expected to attend this seventh annual two day Oktoberfest hosted at Locomotive Park by the Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club. In addition to the beer German food, kids games and live bands, there will also be a triathlon. Admission is free.

The festivals listed range in size. Some events may have hundreds of thousands of attendees. Others may have only a handful. We’re sorry that we don’t have more information about attendance numbers at the moment. We will do our best to add this information as time goes on.
Professionalism varies as well. Some Oktoberfests are professional operations with large budgets. Others are local operations run by volunteers. Do your due diligence before making plans to attend so that you know what to expect. We will happily publish information about your experience with any Oktoberfest so that our visitors will be better informed in the future.
Some Oktoberfests are more family friendly than others. If you have small children, look for an Oktoberfest that has activities for kids. Other events start out with family friendly activities and become more adult oriented as it becomes later in the evening.
Not all Oktoberfest celebrations will be authentic German festival experiences. Some may simply be an excuse to drink rather than celebrate German heritage. Some may call themselves Oktoberfest but provide local or seasonal beer rather than authentic German Oktoberfest beer. Be sure to consider the type of celebration that you are looking to attend when you pick your Oktoberfest.
Activities offered at each Oktoberfest varies. Some activities that you may find are parades, keg tapping ceremony, beer gardens, Miss Oktoberfest or costume contests, stein holding contests, bratwurst eating contest, chicken dance, wiener races, keg toss, live German bands and local entertainment, polka dancing and fairground games. Some Oktoberfest events will just have beer and brats.
