Leavenworth Oktoberfest – Leavenworth, WA – October 3-4, 10-11, and 17-18, 2014
Leavenworth, located two hours east of Seattle, celebrates Oktoberfest for three weekends in October. Started in 1998, it is now attended by more than 10,000 people annually. Keg tapping ceremony every Saturday at 1 PM. The Leavenworth Marathon is held on one of the Oktoberfest weekends. Live music, beer and German food, of course. Location: Front and Tenth St, Leavenworth WA
Bellingham Oktoberfest – September 19, 2014
Select from more than 60 German and fall brews to taste as well local bratwurst options. Live German music, costume contests and other entertainment. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Attendees receive a tasting glass, tasting tickets and snacks. It is sponsored by local brewery Boundary Bay. Proceeds benefit the Volunteer Center of Whatcom County. Event is from 6:30-10 PM.

Monroe Oktoberfest – Sept 19-21, 2014
Opening tap is Friday at 6 PM. Shop for gifts at the German Corner. Enjoy free games including Hammerschlagen, corn hole and a special kid’s area. The family fest zone and Kinderhaus will have a Crater Lake Root Beer Garden, pumpkin decorating, free face painting and kids’ Hammerschlagen. Plenty of German food to satisfy your hunger. Beers include Veltins, Beyreuther, Bayern Oktoberfest, Veltins Ice, Maisel’s Weisse and Alktien Kellerbier Zwickle. There will also be wine from Waterbrook. S-Bahn, a band founded by singer and accordionist Richard Tyce that speacializes in Oktoberfests, will play two shows per day in the evening. Parking is free in the East lot. Discounted admission on Friday from noon to 3 PM (free!) and half price on Sunday. Regular price is $10. Children 12 and under are free all weekend.
